According to CNBC’s sixth-annual study, Texas is America’s Top State for Business 2012. CNBC sought input from business groups and public information sources to score each of the 50 states on fifty-one measures of competitiveness.

According to Forbes’ Best Places for Business & Careers list, Texas is the place to be - especially for companies looking to squeeze costs and maximize productivity. Five Texas metros made the recent list: Dallas (#8), Austin (#9), San Antonio (#13), Fort Worth (#15), and Houston(#20).
